Reporting of credentials are for UH students who either took classes or graduated from a program that resulted in a industry-recognized credential. For that reason, the site is limited to UH students and requires a UH login. If you require assistance with your UH Login, please visit the following website: Click Here
On July 1, 2021, a new bill was enacted by the Legislature of the State of Hawai`i requiring the reporting of student attainment of industry-recognized credentials. Many of those credentials are not issued by the University of Hawai`i (UH) so we are requesting that UH students self-report this information via this website.
We are required to report on certifications/credentials earned by University of Hawai`i students as a result of taking UH classes or graduating from a UH program that prepared them for the credential. Students who may have taken preparation classes that were not part of UH are not required to report.
A copy of the actual certificate/credential earned with the student's name and issue date. This needs to be uploaded as a file and acceptable file types are .PDF, .JPG, .JPEG, or .PNG
The current credential list is based on the Promising Credentials report, and is the list we are required to report on. If you feel your credential should be included, select the "Other/Not Listed" option. Staff will review the credential evidence that is uploaded to determine whether the credential name should be added to the credential listing.
Access to credential information is limited to a handful of UH staff. Validation of credentials may require review by a faculty member or subject matter expert. All information is encrypted and stored in a database on a secure UH server.
We are accepting credentials/certifications issued on or after July 1, 2022.
